This helps to explain why he’s so strong at this moment: while Force powers can develop with age, Luke is physically in his prime, and given he was already impressively-skilled in Return of the Jedi, has spent years better honing his gifts to be as good as possible. Master Yoda has risen above all others to claim the top spot as the most powerful Jedi of all time and the true chosen one according to IGN’s audience. He won pretty handily as well, as he was victorious in 89,756 of his 95,243 battles and had a win percentage of 94.2%.

Yoda is one of the most iconic characters in all of Star Wars and was not only a leading member of the Jedi Council and helped train countless Jedi to reach their full potential, but he was also a key part in assisting Luke Skywalker in fulfilling his destiny to stop the Empire and redeem his father, Darth Vader.

Speaking of Darth Vader and, more specifically, who he was before he fell to the Dark Side, Anakin Skywalker placed third and was bested only by Yoda and his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. It was a close battle too as they both had a win percentage of 88.8%.

• It just goes to show that, even though you are the so-called chosen one to bring balance to the force, you can’t take it easy and expect victory to just come your way.
• In this battle, much like in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan still had the high ground.
• Luke Skywalker came in fourth place with a win percentage of 88.6%, which makes sense as these top four combatants are some of the most iconic characters in all of Star Wars and helped save a galaxy, even though there were some iffy decisions made along the way by them.

Rounding out the top five was Mace Windu, the Jedi who was so close to stopping Emperor Palpatine before Anakin arrived and ruined everything. The next five Jedi are also some great characters, including Ahsoka Tano, Qui-Gon Jinn, Pre-Sith Count Dooku, Plo Koon, and Cal Kestis.

Cal’s placement should be a good sign that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is being well received and that this newer Jedi to the overall canon is a bit of a hit. Of all the 63 Jedi we included in this face-off, Tu-Anh was unfortunately chosen as the least powerful with a win percentage of only 11.5 %. Her contributions to the Jedi Order should not be forgotten, however, as she was a Jedi Master who perished while trying to get to the bottom of a Separatist conspiracy on Utapau.

The next few Jedi near the bottom were all younglings who fell during the tragedy that was Order 66, including Whie Malreaux, Zett Jukassa, and Bene. Is Finn In Love With Rey?

Finn Was Not Going To Tell Rey What You Think In ‘Star Wars: Rise Of Skywalker’ Rise of Skywalker Disney There are many odd moments in Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker,, but did seem like it was a bit cut and pasted together from several disjointed storylines.

1. One storyline that kind of got lost in the shuffle had to do with Finn and Rey, though to discuss it any further, we’re going to have to get into spoiler territory,
2. There’s one moment in the film where the entire group is getting sucked into quicksand and it seems like they could all imminently die.

Finn uses this moment to express that there’s something he “never told Rey,” though the group gets sucked down before he can. Rey brings it up once they survive, but Finn says he doesn’t want to say it in front of Poe. Later, when Finn, Poe and Chewie are seconds away from being executed, Poe badgers Finn about it again who doesn’t want to talk about it, even if they’re literally about to die.

And after that? It never comes up again. If you’re like me, you interpreted this one way. That Finn was going to confess his love for Rey based on a longstanding crush he’s had on her pretty much since the first moment they met in The Force Awakens, Some people tell me that they think their relationship has always been platonic, but I think the series makes it pretty clear that Finn has a crush on Rey, even if she doesn’t feel like that about him and is oblivious to it.

I am fully in support of Finn and Poe getting together too, but obviously that didn’t happen and that’s an entirely separate conversation for another day. I was content to assume this is just what happened, that Finn was going to awkwardly profess his love for Rey but then didn’t actually do it and it was just dropped in favor of Rey getting her (brief) love story with Kylo in.

First, we have John Boyega saying outright on Twitter that Finn was not going to say that he loved Rey in that scene:Then, we have reports that at a fan Q and A session, director JJ Abrams supposedly said that what Finn was going to tell Rey was that he was Force sensitive, something we see demonstrated in the film pretty clearly in a number of different moments.This isvery stupid.

Viewed as a whole, it seems very obvious that Finn had a crush on Rey from the start and this was at least at one point supposed to be a fun little moment where he almost admits that out loud. It’s pretty weird that this is never resolved, and also that Finn never really finished any of his outstanding romantic arcs, not with Rose, who was completely shelved after The Last Jedi in a pretty brutal fashion, and not with newcomer Jannah, whom seems to be a kindred spirit, even if nothing romantic happens between them in the film.

And again, not with Poe, the dream for many fans who were hoping for a very prominent example of LGBT representation among the main cast. So really that’s four potential love interests for Finn that are never developed by the end of the film, and what should serve as effectively the end of his story, barring some future spin-off books.

Force Awakens Disney Saying that Finn’s big secret from Rey that he couldn’t admit in front of anyone else was that he was Force sensitive is justnonsense. Why would he feel the need to hide that from Poe, one of his best friends? Why would that be something to be ashamed about? Why does he not seem to care about hiding it when he’s talking about the power of the Force in other scenes are speaking openly about the “feelings” the Force is giving him? This, like many things in The Rise of Skywalker, feels like a sloppy retcon.

Clearly Finn was supposed to have some sort of romantic interest in Rey when the saga started in Force Awakens, Then he and Rose were supposed to have a relationship in Last Jedi. Then in the end, he has literally four potential romantic storylines go nowhere, and the one that makes the most sense is being erased from existence by both the actor and director themselves.

Books and comics – Palpatine made his first major appearance in Star Wars -related comic books in 1991 and 1992, with the Dark Empire series written by Tom Veitch and illustrated by Cam Kennedy, In the series (set six years after Return of the Jedi ), Palpatine is resurrected as the Emperor Reborn, or “Palpatine the Undying”.

Cloak of Deception (2001) by James Luceno follows Reaves’ novel and details how Darth Sidious encourages the Trade Federation to build an army of battle droids in preparation for the invasion of Naboo. Cloak of Deception also focuses on Palpatine’s early political career, revealing how he becomes a confidant of Chancellor Finis Valorum and acquainted with Padmé Amidala, newly elected queen of Naboo.

Palpatine’s role during the Clone Wars as Chancellor of the Republic and Darth Sidious is portrayed in novels such as Matthew Stover ‘s Shatterpoint (2003), Steven Barnes ‘ The Cestus Deception (2004), Sean Stewart ‘s Yoda: Dark Rendezvous (2004), and Luceno’s Labyrinth of Evil (2005) and Darth Plagueis (2012).

Following the theatrical release of Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars literature focused on Palpatine’s role after the creation of the Empire. John Ostrander ‘s comic Star Wars Republic 78: Loyalties (2005) chronicles how, shortly after seizing power, Emperor Palpatine sends Darth Vader to assassinate Sagoro Autem, an Imperial captain who plans to defect from the Empire.

Palpatine hopes these early missions will teach Vader what it means to be a Sith and crush any remnants of Anakin Skywalker. James Luceno ‘s 2012 novel Darth Plagueis depicts Palpatine’s early life, prior to the films. The scion of an aristocratic family on Naboo, Palpatine first turns toward the dark side upon meeting the titular Sith lord.

Sensing great power in Palpatine, Plageuis takes him on as his Sith apprentice. In the final test of his devotion to the dark side, Palpatine kills his parents and his brother and sister.

The romantic climax of Empire Strikes Back is unquestionably the moment when, just before he is lowered into carbonite, Han and Leia exchange a confession of their true feelings: “I love you.” “I know.” Now far and wide considered one of the most iconic scenes of the entire franchise, it turns out that this scene originally played much differently.

• However, even though Ford’s spur of the moment decision led the scene to become as resonant as it remains, Fisher’s response to the line change wasn’t exactly thrilled.
• A strong and gifted writer herself, Fisher was apparently quite displeased with the fact that Ford had been allowed to change the scene’s content without consulting her.
• The rift that resulted because of this decision led to the co-stars not even being on speaking terms when it came time to film that important scene.

While this doesn’t exactly make for the strongest of cases, it was no doubt a shock to the system for all comics readers. Many fans have reasonably assumed that the reason for Han and Leia’s separation, as revealed in The Force Awakens, was their son’s tragic fall to the dark side of the Force. However, while that certainly played a large part in their separation, it turns out that there was growing tension and distance long before that.

In fact, the tension that grew and led to their distancing from one another is, unfortunately, something that could likely never have been avoided. Due to Leia’s workaholic commitment, and Han’s inability to handle stress and the need to run away when it presents itself, the two found themselves confronted with fundamentally incompatible lifestyles.

No matter how much they loved one another, or how invested in their family they may have been, their work lives, in addition to their stubborn personalities, would never have allowed for a perfect union. As we’ve already discussed, Han and Leia’s first exchange of their true feelings stands to this day as one of the most iconic and important scenes in the entire Star Wars franchise. However, it’s entirely possible that this scene may have never existed at all.

1. The only reason why this scene was included in the script, as it turns out, was because Harrison Ford was unwilling to commit to starring in a third movie at that time.
2. While Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher had both already signed on to return for Return of the Jedi, Ford had done no such thing.
3. Therefore the minds behind Star Wars were forced to give themselves a potential out just in case.

It isn’t exactly news that Han Solo was a prolific gambler. After all, he won the Millennium Falcon in a bet against Lando Calrissian, and the sequel trilogy has decided to use his golden dice as the emblem for his character from The Last Jedi onward.

However, what may come as a surprise is the fact that, along with Lando, Han apparently taught Leia to play Sabacc, a notoriously difficult game somewhat similar to our Blackjack. After she learned- and as ever, she was quite the quick learner- Leia soon proved herself to be an expert in the game, beating her opponents routinely regardless of whether the odds were in her favor.

Also in Gray’s novel Bloodline, it’s revealed that Han found himself initially unsettled by the reality that he was now a father. Worried at every turn about potentially screwing up their child, he frankly admitted to Leia that he had never imagined having children.

Leia, however, was quick to counter with her own confession regarding their life together. She was quite certain he would be a great father, she assured him, before going one step further and saying he would be a wonderful grandfather, too. At that, however, Han joked that he would never get that old- and we don’t even have to explain why that line hurts so much.

It’s hard to imagine either Han or Leia settling into a life of domestic bliss and becoming the perfect married couple, sitting together by the fire and reading the newspaper daily. Part of what makes them so exciting as a couple to begin with is their mutual tendencies to buck convention and go wherever the wind may take them.

2. Rather than staying put at home while Leia served in the Galactic Senate, Han in turn took up work as a racing pilot and instructor for up and coming generations of pilots who wanted to learn how to fly from the greatest hotshot pilot there ever was.

Han’s reluctance to accept the workings of the Force was one of the most fundamental parts of his character in the original trilogy. An outsider to the connection shared by Luke, Obi-Wan, and even Leia herself, he served as a voice of “reason” when things seemed like they were headed into the entirely elemental and spiritual territory of the Force.

• However, it was Han’s status as an outsider and a non-believer that perhaps led to one of the most avoidable tragedies in the entirety of Star Wars.
• Leia had sensed from the womb that there was something dark inside of Ben- thanks in large part to her awareness of Snoke’s interest in him- but she never thought to tell Han of anything that was happening, because- as he was non-Force-sensitive- he couldn’t possibly have understood.
• So rather than talk it out, Ben was sent off to Luke’s for training, and the rest is history.

2. Over the course of Claudia Gray’s Bloodline, the long-time married couple frequently fantasize about taking some time away together and just traveling from system to system in the Millennium Falcon, letting all their obligations fall away.
3. Of course, given the tense nature of Leia’s work life, and Han’s likelihood to be called away at a moment’s notice for some sort of pilot commitment, scheduling this time together proved more difficult than it should have.
4. However, they vowed to one another that “someday” would happen for them- that they would find the time to reconnect, and be together, and be happy.
5. Yet no matter how inspired by fairytales Star Wars may be, it seems as though happily ever after was never truly meant for these two star-crossed lovers.
